To maximize performance and durability, the Hammer Strength Impact Suppression Platforms (ISP) and Traditional Wood Platforms (TWP) are designed with independent suspension.
This separates the wings, or drop zones, from the lifting surface. The wing is designed to absorb the impact of a bar with bumper plates repeatedly slamming into them.
Separating the wings from the lifting surface prevents transfer of the violent stress to connecting joints or wood that will splinter over time.
This is critically important, especially when there are uneven peaks and valleys in the floor that would cause a single piece construction to twist, bend, and break over time.
The 11-gauge steel frame wraps around the entire platform to secure the position of the wings while allowing them to independently float vertically to contour to the floor and absorb impacts.
! WARNING ! |
Unlevel flooring will transfer to the top of the platform and may cause the frame, wing, or platform center to appear uneven! |
Note: Unlevel flooring will impact both ISP and TWP platforms.
